Who it is for

Sauna and bathhouse bookings on Shopify

A sauna has a headcount, not a timetable. Repose sells timed entry to it, staggers the starts, and keeps the room under its limit without a class in sight.

Repose is in review for the Shopify App Store. Until it is listed, we install it with you.

Why a class app gets it wrong

A communal sauna might take twelve people, and the door opens every quarter hour. A booking app built for classes wants you to invent a 10:00 session and a 10:30 session, and then it cannot see that the 10:00 people are still inside at 10:30.

Repose counts the people in the space at every minute, including the turnaround you set between visitors, and offers a customer only the starts that still fit. The room is never over its limit and never artificially half empty.

What you would sell

Each one is an ordinary Shopify product, set up from the Repose card on its product page or from New offer in the app, and paid through your own checkout.

  • A single visit at full price and an intro visit limited to one per customer.
  • Packs of visits that expire after a number of months you choose.
  • A weekly or monthly membership on a Shopify subscription plan, with an optional number of bookings a week.
  • Gift cards, which are plain Shopify gift cards and need nothing set up.

Questions from venues like this

We have a sauna and a plunge pool in the same room. Two resources or one?

If everyone who books gets both, one resource is enough. If the plunge has far fewer places than the sauna and you want to book it separately, make it a second resource that counts toward the limit. See the shared space with extras page.

Can we sell a women-only morning?

Not as a rule in the app today. A staff booking for the full headcount blocks a stretch for a private session, and you take the names at the desk.

What Repose does not do yet

  • Remind customers before a session. The only emails are a booking confirmation and a cancellation notice, which you can turn off.
  • Schedule instructors or classes with rosters.
  • A member mobile app or a check-in device at the door.
  • Marketing automation such as win-back email or SMS.
