Who it is for

Float centre bookings on Shopify

Every tank is a private room with a long reset between floats. Repose books each tank back to back, keeps the turnaround honest, and sells floats, packs and memberships through the store you already run.

Repose is in review for the Shopify App Store. Until it is listed, we install it with you.

Why a class app gets it wrong

A float is private: one person, one tank, and a reset afterwards that is longer than most venues' whole gap. Tanks do not share a headcount, so a four-tank centre is four bookings at once and never five.

In Repose a tank type is a resource with its places set to the number of tanks, its own length and its own gap, and it does not count toward the venue limit. Different tank types are different resources with different prices.

Example setup

Pod float
60 minutes, 30-minute gap, 3 places, does not count toward the limit
Open float room
90 minutes, 30-minute gap, 1 place, does not count toward the limit
Start times offered
every 30 minutes
Offers
Single float, 5-float pack with 6-month expiry, monthly membership covering pods only

What you would sell

Each one is an ordinary Shopify product, set up from the Repose card on its product page or from New offer in the app, and paid through your own checkout.

  • A single float, and a first-float offer limited to one per customer.
  • Packs of floats with a credit expiry you choose.
  • A monthly membership that covers the pods and not the open room, by setting which resources it covers.
  • Gift cards, which stay plain Shopify gift cards.

Questions from venues like this

Can a customer choose a specific tank?

Not when the tanks are one resource with several places. If people care which tank they get, make each tank its own resource with one place.

How do we stop someone booking two floats in a day?

Turn on "One booking per day per customer" on the resource.

What Repose does not do yet

  • Remind customers before a session. The only emails are a booking confirmation and a cancellation notice, which you can turn off.
  • Schedule instructors or classes with rosters.
  • A member mobile app or a check-in device at the door.
  • Marketing automation such as win-back email or SMS.
