Who it is for

A recovery lounge inside a gym, bookable on Shopify

A sauna, a couple of ice baths and a room of massage chairs, run as a business of their own inside a gym. Repose books the space, sells the passes and leaves the gym's membership system alone.

Repose is in review for the Shopify App Store. Until it is listed, we install it with you.

Why a class app gets it wrong

The recovery lounge has its own headcount, its own hours and its own customers, some of whom are gym members and some of whom walk in from the street. The gym's software knows about classes and door access, not about who is in the sauna at 6:15.

Repose runs the lounge as a Shopify store: a location with the lounge's limit, a resource for entry and one for each scarce extra, and offers that are ordinary products in one checkout. The gym's system is not involved.

What you would sell

Each one is an ordinary Shopify product, set up from the Repose card on its product page or from New offer in the app, and paid through your own checkout.

  • Casual entry for non-members and a cheaper pack for regulars.
  • A founding membership capped at a number of customers, with the standard membership going on sale when it closes.
  • Gift cards for the front desk to sell.

Questions from venues like this

Can gym members get a discount?

Price a separate product for them and sell it however you check who is a member, for example a discount code. Repose does not read the gym's membership list.

Can the front desk book a walk-in?

Yes. A staff booking under a typed name, for any number of people, which takes up the space like any other booking and is free on every plan.

What Repose does not do yet

  • Remind customers before a session. The only emails are a booking confirmation and a cancellation notice, which you can turn off.
  • Schedule instructors or classes with rosters.
  • A member mobile app or a check-in device at the door.
  • Marketing automation such as win-back email or SMS.
